Guidelines for Meeting Rooms

For informatics Users:

For the ground floor, when booking the room you can ask for the layout to be changed. However, this is only possible if there is sufficient time between bookings.

For the meeting rooms on all other floors, you are responsible for changing the layout, and returning to its default layout (see the default layouts on the MeetingRoomsCommittee page).

You can see room bookings at:

You can book a meeting room by contacting one of:

  • Sofi Freijeiro-Mato, Fiona Clark, Cathy Gray, Jenny Burness, Kay Sakagawa, Dyane Goodchild

For help with the DICE machines, AV and smartboards contact support. Please do not move the AV cabinets - only support should be doing that.

For non-informatics Users:

Please see: Booking and general information for external bookings.doc:

For caterers:

Please see: Procedural notes for caterers.doc:

For administrative staff making room bookings:

  • Events requiring changes to the set-up of a room or AV support require an additional 30 minutes prior booking.
  • G.07 should not be booked for less than 60 people.
  • Lunches should be in the atrium, not in G.07.
  • All Catering should go via the goods entrance. Make sure the caterers have seen and follow the guidelines above.
  • To arrange servitor cover out of hours contact Steve Downes (steved@miscorpREMOVE_THIS.ed.ac.uk) who can arrange servitor cover and re-arrangement of rooms.
  • For help with the DICE machines and AV set-up, contact support.
  • 5.02 should not be booked unless the users need teleconferencing, or no other room is available.
