Certificates in Mac OS X

Documentation on installing the UCS Certificate Authority Certificate into keychain can be found in Installing the University of Edinburgh certificate in the Safari browser (and other Mac OS X applications).

Note however that the CerttoolGUI application they refer to seems to have been abandoned by its developers. A far simpler option on Mac OS X 10.4 at least is to simply download the UCS CA Certificate (usually ends up on your desktop) and double click it. This will start the Keychain Access application and prompt you to add the certificate. You should choose the X509Anchors keychain as the terget and click ok. From what I remember a similar prodecure works on 10.3 too (confirmation would be appreciated).

Note that in the 10.4 Keychain Access application you can click the Show Keychains button at the bottom of window to see all available keychains (usually your own one, the System one and the X509Anchors ).
