• Question: "I was looking through the reading from yesterday's lecture notes, and I noticed there are some IEEE articles. Does the library have a subscription or access to these articles or how should I go about finding them?"

YES - The University has a subscription to IEEE and ACM journals. The SEOC Lecture Notes page - http://www.inf.ed.ac.uk/teaching/courses/seoc/2010_2011/notes/ - provides the DOI links to the referenced papers. You can access, save and print the papers, but you need to be logged in within DICE or an university network.

• Question (Course Textbook): "I was looking for the course textbook, is the first edition still ok?"

NO - If you intend to buy the book, buy the Second Edition because it is updated to UML 2.0.
