1. Issues with the printers, takes very long time to print, sometimes they don't work at all but you still get charged, accounts were not credited with the amount needed to print the quota of pages given by the school (should the quota also include some colour pages?).

2. Quiet Labs - any left in AT? The need for quiet labs. North Lab still quiet - sign was not replaced after painters were in. It's back up now.

3. Slides uploaded in advance of lectures.

4. December exams for Minf students disturbing the whole final year dissertation cycle. Possibility of taking them in May / replace them with some else (take home exams, long essays etc)?

5. MSc students take 3rd year courses when they have done them previously, which disturbs the learning process for normal 3rd year students. For example people who have done 4 year Software Engineering degrees take on Software Engineering with Objects & Components. Could they be forbidden to take the course like it happens in language courses or be split in specific MSc groups and tutorials?

6. Possibility of coursework be provided at the beggining of the semester or beginning of week 2 enabling busy students to organiste their time more efficiently

Notes

1. Issues with the printers, takes very long time to print, sometimes they don't work at all but you still get charged, accounts were not credited with the amount needed to print the quota of pages given by the school (should the quota also include some colour pages?). We need a short guide for the use of printers posted above the printer - how to cancel, how to manage account, ... Discuss with computing support on the use of colour pages. Still some MSc students appear not to have been credited - reps are following it up.

2. Quiet Labs - any left in AT? The need for quiet labs. North Lab still quiet - sign was not replaced after painters were in. It's back up now.

3. Slides uploaded in advance of lectures. (HCI, Graphics, A&DS) Issues about match btw slides used in Lecture and Paper/Onlne version sometimes p16 of the lecturers slides doesn't correspond to p 16 in students copy. 1-up and 4-up versions available online. Reps cpome back with specific courses that they want to have notes in advance for. Dyslexia issues.

4. December exams for Minf students disturbing the whole final year dissertation cycle. Possibility of taking them in May / replace them with some else (take home exams, long essays etc)? Minf to talk to Stuart about this.

Main issue is that third year students feel that some MScs have already done an equivelnt course in their first degree - we should look to find ways to restrict entry to SEOC in these cases. Report back next week.

6. Possibility of coursework be provided at the beggining of the semester or beginning of week 2 enabling busy students to organiste their time more efficiently. (Graphics - Taku) Message today to staff - Machine learning IAML - re-emphasise the need to get this information before end week 1. EC - subsequent deadlines.

7. Accessibility of Computer Networking Web page.
