Computing Support for DIY DICE Machines

Please notice that Computing Support will not log in your machine using their DICE accounts. We kindly request you to create a local username and password for the Computing Support person to access your machine.

Computing support for DIY DICE machines is constrained by the own nature of DIY DICE. That is, you will gain in freedom to configure your desktop (and 'su' within it), but that will imply that your machine will lose standardisation and it will become more difficult to support.

Users who face problems on DIY DICE machines, should try to reproduce those problems on a standard DICE box. Problems which have been successfully reproduced on standard DICE machines will be granted a higher priority.
