---+++ New student accounts 2012

   * Graham confirmed that the 'rollover' will happen at the beginning of August i.e. that's when new student accounts with new-degree-* roles will start to be fed to Prometheus for creation.
   * The quotas for old-degree-* roles matches exactly the quota for the equivalent degree-* role. We therefore decided not to implement any changes to 'grace' period. Students will be able
      to continue using their accounts until they are removed. Come the 'rollover' in August, the ex-students will lose their module roles and hence any additional entitlements that they might have been given.
   * We will create accounts for all external students. 
   * *Toby/Lindsey* will start looking at deleting old accounts again once end dates have been supplied from the database. (There are accounts that have not been used which should be removed but as the database 
      still shows them as active, i.e. no end date, they would be immediately recreated). 
   * Craig confirmed that there is enough space for student home directories. As with last year, the script will not over-commit any partition and *Craig* will configure Prometheus accordingly in time for the accounts starting to appear i.e. before the 'rollover'.
   * *Alison* will speak to ISS to get a rough estimate of new student numbers.
   * *Alison* will check with ISS on how students are made aware that their DICE account should be activated via the password portal.
   * *Toby* will speak to Neil/Angus Rae to find out at which point student sms accounts are created.
   * *Craig* will make some minor modifications to the password portal.
   * *Toby* will turn off the mail conduit so that students will not receive notification about the password portal until the beginning of September.
   * *Craig* will check with Liz about printer credit for next session.
   * *Lindsey* will arrange for the current printing posters to be removed from the labs.
