64 bit updaterpms
Alastair has started looking at 64 bit support in updaterpms. He has some idea of what is required, but unfortunately it involves changing the semantics of the rpmcfg file and thus would involve changes not only to updaterpms, but also to the LCFG compiler. He has discussed these with Paul, but this won't happen for a couple of months. Meanwhile Stephen suggested making the required changes to updaterpms and using a convertor shim between the LCFG generated rpmcfg and updaterpms. Alastair will continue to work on this. (ACTION: Alastair)
Other 64 bit work
Stephen has done some more work on the 64 bit platform, but is now blocked on updaterpms being ported. The project is currently at stage 4 - we now need to flesh out the proposal. (ACTION: Alastair/Stephen)
install CD
It was agreed that it would be a good idea to create an LCFG install CD as part of building a release. Chris will look at this when looking at scripting the release building. (ACTION: Chris)
PXE install
we need to automate the building of the PXE install. It would be really useful to do this when building a test release. Stephen will discuss with Iain. (ACTION: Stephen)
