Description of kit

OneLAN room booking display
The displays display bookings made in the University timetabling system. These are managed by IS LST, with our involvement being limited to providing them with a port on the AT36 VLAN.
Extron MLC Plus 100/200
These are AV controllers that control LCD displays, projectors, switchers and amps either over RS232 (in most cases) or ethernet (in some rooms the controller, switcher and WePresent are on a local shared switch which has one uplink connected to a port on the AT36 VLAN). These are managed by IS LST.
Extron IN1606 switcher
These are AV switchers that are used to switch between multiple input sources. They are controlled by the MLC Plus 100/200 controllers. They are typically only installed where multiple display devices are installed or where the display device(s) are at such a distance from the pedestal that HDMI over CAT6 senders are required. They are managed by IS LST.
WePresent
These are presentation devices that display video transmitted over the network (wired or wireless) from MacOS, Windows 10, IOS or Android devices. They are managed by IS LST, with our involvement being limited to providing them with a port on the AT36 VLAN.
Sennheiser wireless mics
CAT 6 senders
In some rooms, the AV pedestal is a considerable distance from the display device(s). HDMI has a limited maximum distance, so in these rooms the HDMI signal is sent over CAT6 using HDMI->CAT6 transmitters and CAT6->HDMI receivers.
